A solar light gets rid of scary darkness. A bug zapper gets rid of annoying insects. Combine the two and get a solar light bug zapper that lights up your night and kills those pesky insects! So you probably have an understanding of how solar lights work.  A solar light bug zapper works in the same way except there is also UV solar lights in addition to the regular solar lights. When the solar light is in 'zapper mode' the UV solar lights are activated. The bugs are attracted to the UV solar lights and are then fried by the metal wire gauze around the solar light. Clever.

I will now be on the hunt to see if their are 'smart' solar light bug zappers whose metal wiring only zaps bug when it detects bug motion. Some of the better bug zapper solar lights out there have an additional recharger pack in case the solar energy isn't enough to charge it for the duration fo the night.
